Specialist surfaces add value for AAPA members
OmniGrip Direct’s specialist surfacings and innovative road safety solutions have been featured in a podcast by the Australian Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA). The podcast discusses how OmniGrip Direct’s surfaces add value to contractors, road agencies and Councils.
AAPA is the peak body representing the flexible pavement industry in Australia. It demonstrates and enables technical excellence in the sustainable use of bitumen-based products in pavement engineering.
As a provider of coloured, decorative and functional safety surfaces, OmniGrip Direct adds value to AAPA members that lay flexible pavements and maintain large road networks on behalf of road agencies and councils across Australia.
Dave Jones, OmniGrip Direct’s Director External Affairs, spoke to Ilsa Dennis at AAPA about how coloured recycled-glass surfacings and high-friction surface treatments (HFST) can be used by AAPA members for bus lanes, bike lanes, pedestrian crossings and in placemaking projects. Dave also referred to OmniGrip Direct’s innovations with photoluminescent linemarking and photoluminescent road signs that can improve night-time road safety without the expense of road lighting.
